I saw a recommendation of the Archer C7 router in a New York Times technology column, with a link to the factory offer at $119. I was delighted to find it at Office Depot for only $99!
Installation and setup were a breeze: the router itself deploys a pseudo-website via wifi to walk the user through the truly easy process of setting up the wifi network name and password along with channel choices.
I am a computer professional, and this is my third home wifi router. I would recommend it without reservation to anyone older than 10.

I replaced my ten plus year old Linksys 2.4 with this TP-Link Archer C7 AC 1750. Sorry to say my old link 2.4 had better range in my 2400 sq ft home. It was easy to set up but after that I haven't noticed any difference except in the lack of range.

A little hard to install, not entirely intuitive, either way I tried. Finally got it working and it's at least as good as my old Dlink router.

Since we have had this router it has lost the connection and had to be completely reset. Now that has been done and some websites work fine while others do not. I have an asus at home and have never experienced these problems with it. Exchanging for an Asus!
